Who measures this

EclipseMission is run by Antoine Olivier, an independent publisher. No hotel, airline, tour operator or tourist board pays for these pages or reviews them before they go online.

The site answers one question about the total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027: what it costs to stand inside the path of totality, place by place. Room prices are read on Booking.com for the eclipse week and for an ordinary week, so the difference is the price of the eclipse itself. Durations of totality are computed from NASA's eclipse elements. Every figure carries the date it was read and its source, and the methodology explains how each one is made.

As of October 2026, the Booking.com links on this site carry no affiliate code: we earn nothing when you book through them.

The tables are open under CC BY 4.0 on the open data page, along with a server AI assistants can query.
